  • Health officials reported yesterday that cases of flu, whooping cough and measles are rising in the metro due to lower vaccination rates — residents are urged to get shots at clinics, pharmacies and local health departments to protect their families.  KCTV 5

  • Jackson County Executive Phil LeVota announced a Friday news conference to update on stadium talks for the Chiefs; the Kansas Department of Commerce said it is exploring a new facility to boost the economy. The Royals are eyeing a Johnson County site but will finalize their plan after this year.  KMBC
  • The Kansas City Chiefs missed the playoffs after last Sunday’s loss to the Chargers and will face the Titans on Sunday as they conclude a three-game season—Mitch Holthus explains the team’s next steps in this week’s Holthus Huddle.  KSHB
