- ➤ The Bar is set to open a new restaurant location at 17927 W. 119th St. (near 119th and Ridgeview) by the end of 2026, offering indoor dining, patio space, and a menu of fresh food and craft cocktails to serve a growing part of the community. Johnson County Post
GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ Olathe senior Gary Scott said he still struggles with high property taxes even though county relief is available and the city’s rebate program opened Monday, Mar. 2 (residents must meet income limits), leaving some older homeowners behind. KSHB
- ➤ Johnson County Emergency Management launched Severe Weather Preparedness Week and urged residents to spend five minutes today building an emergency plan with meeting points, evacuation routes, and kits. The county will hold a statewide tornado drill Wednesday at 11 a.m. and urges sign-up for Notify JoCo alerts. KCTV 5
SPORTS NEWS
- ➤ Tomorrow at T-Mobile Center in Kansas City, the Big 12 will debut a new LED glass court when K-State meets Cincinnati at 11:00 a.m. and KU faces UCF later. The court (previewed on Monday) offers dynamic displays and enhanced safety for players and fans. KCTV 5
