- ➤ Colorado-based Einstein Bros. Bagels will open a new store at 295 N. Kansas Highway 7 (near Red Crow Brewing Company and First Watch) in Olathe, marking its sixth location in Johnson County and following the recent Lenexa opening. Johnson County Post
GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ On Tuesday, the City Council approved 86 acres of land for combined warehouse and residential development, including the Parkside Reserve phase 7 project (13.36 acres set for 37 single-family homes) southwest of S. Black Bob Road and W. 167th Street. Olathe Reporter
- ➤ The Kansas Senate approved an amendment (21-18 vote) that requires school districts to get written parental consent for student walkouts and imposes fines based on a superintendent's daily salary, following concerns after disruptions near Olathe Northwest High School. The rules will take effect next school year. KSHB
