- ➤ Caribou Coffee opened its grab-and-go store in southern Olathe on Monday at 18459 W. 158th Place — its third county location. The cabin-style shop will donate $1 from every Saturday and Sunday purchase during its grand opening weekend to the Olathe Public Schools Foundation. Johnson County Post
- ➤ Zen Donkey Farms opened its new cafe and juicery inside AdventHealth Shawnee Mission campus in Merriam earlier this month + it now serves organic cold-pressed juices, smoothies, and plant-based meals from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday. Johnson County Post
EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ Olathe Public Schools will face an extra cost of over $1 million to meet a new law that bans cell phones and devices during school hours by requiring secure storage (state funds will not cover the expense). The law takes effect Sept. 1, impacting K-12 public schools. Johnson County Post
