- ➤ On Saturday, many gathered at Fairview Park in Olathe wearing red and yellow to honor Denton Loudermill—a local father, brother and Chiefs fan once falsely accused at a rally last year. CRIME NEWS
- ➤ Olathe police charged 47-year-old Dartanan Hudgens with premeditated first-degree murder after a neighbor prompted a check on 75-year-old Karen M. Peterson’s home on N. Persimmon Drive on April 30, where her body was found, while court records state she was killed between March 11 and March 21—Hudgens faces a $1 million bond and is scheduled in court Monday afternoon—. - ➤ Flags across Kansas were lowered to half-staff yesterday from sunup to sundown after Governor Laura Kelly ordered the measure to honor National Fallen Firefighters Memorial Day—memorial services were held from 9 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. on the day to remember the sacrifices of firefighters. KSNT
