PaPPo’s Pizzeria & Pub will open its first Johnson County location at 7070 W.

105th St. in Overland Park in October — marking its 12th site and meeting long-standing local customer requests. Local franchisee Casey Richards, with nearly a decade of experience, will run the restaurant — which will offer handcrafted pizzas made from scratch and seat over 150 guests inside and 20 on the patio.

Heartland Coca-Cola Bottling Company opened its new $400 million plant on Tuesday on South Hedge Lane in Olathe—spanning 150 acres with a 700,000-square-foot building that houses four production lines making 2,000 cans and 900 bottles per minute for more than 25,000 customers.
