- ➤ Kansas lawmakers plan to extend the state’s bond deal to help fund new stadiums for the Chiefs and Royals; Senate President Ty Masterson said the teams must decide within 60 to 90 days if they want the plan to move forward—further discussions will occur at upcoming ELK meetings. KMBC
- ➤ Today, Kansas lawmakers will meet to discuss extending the state's STAR bonds offer to the Kansas City Chiefs and Kansas City Royals if a team moves across state lines—covering up to 70% of a new stadium's cost. The offer expired June 30 but can be extended for another year by a special committee after Chiefs President Mark Donovan requested the change. KMBC
